Innovative valve solutions
One of the areas in which Mikropakk plays a major role is the valve solutions for the aerosol and adhesives market. Our valves are alternative thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) solutions replacing silicon materials. From idea to mass production, Mikropakk can cover all your needs.
Valves variations
RF-07 valve
Designed in 2007 entirely by Mikropakk, this model is under our patent and freely available to all our customers.
RF-09 valve
RF-09 was specifically developed in 2009 for a PUR foam manufacturer.
RF-16 valve
The 3rd generation of MikaVent valves was designed and patented in 2016. Our latest development features a membrane between the gehause and stem and an upgraded stem. RF-16 offers an affordable and more sustainable solution and it is also available to all our customers.
MIKA-Vent rubberless aerosol valve for PU foam
This ruberless aerosol valve has been developed along with the MIKA 2k membrane system as a complex solution to extend the shelf-life of two component cans. Valves of standard two-component aerosols are subject to sealing problems, causing contents of the bottle to harden. Once the contents harden, the bottle practically becomes useless because the content jams and gets stuck inside.
Our solution included replacing the rubber sealing with a thermoplastic elastomer that provides better sealing developed specifically for this use case.
The new TPE material has better sealing properties, thus extending the shelf life of the product and making the pu foam reusable if not used fully all at one.
All in all, we managed to extend the shelf life of the product to 24 months from 9-12 months with the combination of the new valve and 2k membrane system.
MikaVent PU solid valves portfolio
The MikaVent PU solid valve family includes 3 different models, all of which offer a solid, rubber free solutions. They are compatible with standard PU pistols and most filling lines. All models can be used with “staw foam” applicators.
We offer a 1-year shelf-life warranty with less than 5g/year gas lost.
